# Section

Section is a layout component that allows you to add a accessory component to the right side of some content.

Accessory component can be either [Button](../button/index) or [Thumbnail](#thumbnail).

Common components can be up to 3 of [Text Display](../text-display/index) components.

This component has the following settings:

## Thumbnail { #thumbnail }

Thumbnail shows a picture for specified URL.

Thumbnail has the following settings:

* **URL** — direct URL to the picture, can also use [variables](../../beginners/variables) here;
* **Description** — description displayed next to thumbnail;
* **Spoiler** — checking this will hide thumbnail and will require clicking to view.

Thumbnail is also a component, but at this time it's only used as section accessory component and doesn't have its own article.

## Availability { #availability }

This component is only available for message templates in "Components" mode.

Specific component availability depends on the context. For example, non-link buttons are only available for [Custom Commands](../../../cmd/custom/index).
