Gaining Experience

Levels

Experience on each level is calculated using this formula:

exp = 5 * level² + 50 * level + 100

Maximum possible level is 999

You can use field below to calculate exp for level and time required to achieve it:

Text Communication

Sending a message to text channel will give member random amount of EXP from 15 to 25 units, once per minute. You can use "rank" command to check your own progress or progress of another member.

15 - 25 is the default range for 100% EXP multiplier. You can configure this multiplier in ranking settings of server's dashboard. Multiplier can be configured globally, per role, per channel and ever for specific members.

Voice Communication

Voice EXP is only available for members supporting us!

Voice EXP and Voice Activity are calculated only for active members of voice channels. Member is considered active if they meet following conditions:

• Have microphone active and is not muted;
• Have sound enabled and is not deafen;
• Not bot.

Voice EXP per minute in ideal conditions is calculated using following formula:

exp = 6 * count * multiplier

• count — amount of active members in voice channel;
• multiplier — EXP multiplier configured in server's dashboard (100% = 1, 200% = 2 and so on).

You can (and should!) specify the maximum count value so members will not gain an extremely high EXP amounts in case if a lot of people in the voice channel currently. You can configure it in Member Ranking section of server's dashboard.

You should keep in mind following things regarding Voice EXP and Voice Activity:

1. EXP and Activity are only given if there's at least two active members currently in voice channel;
2. EXP is cumulative. It means that three active members in voice channel will gain x3 EXP. If one of them left the channel, mutes himself or deafen, they aren't active anymore so from this moment two others will gain x2 EXP (they still got all the exp while the third was active). If second left the channel, muted/deafen too, the last one will not gain any EXP anymore (but still got all the EXP they gained before the moment others became inactive).

One minute is not a required minimum. EXP will be proportionally given for smaller time ranges.

So for 30 seconds of communication members will gain half of the EXP that they could get for the whole minute according to the formula above.

WARNING

Important! Accumulated Voice EXP and Voice Activity will be applied to the rank only after the end of current voice session (aka member left the voice channel or moved to another).

There will not be any visual change in the ranking until then.
